WEP Digital Hub Glossary
This glossary provides definitions for technical, business, and agentic terms used within the WEP digital ecosystem.
🏗 Architecture
Context Map
A high-level diagram that visualizes the relationships and integrations between all systems (bounded contexts) in the WEP ecosystem. See Ecosystem Architecture.
DNS
Domain Name System. The internet protocol that translates human-readable domain names (e.g., wep.org) into IP addresses. WEP's domains are managed via GoDaddy. See Domain Registry.
Domain
A high-level logical grouping of technical systems (e.g., Architecture, Security, Systems).
Node
A single service, application, or system within the WEP infrastructure.
SSL Certificate
A digital certificate that enables encrypted (HTTPS) communication between a browser and a server. Must be renewed before expiration to avoid service disruption.
⚙️ Systems & Platforms
CIAM
Customer Identity and Access Management. The centralized identity layer providing SSO across all WEP portals, leveraging OIDC and SAML protocols.
MyWEP
WEP's student and family-facing portal for real-time updates, on-program support, and document management.
OMGT
WEP's internal operational management tool, integrated with Zoho CRM and MyWEP portals.
SaaS
Software as a Service. Cloud-hosted applications provided by third-party vendors (e.g., Zoho, Office365, JustCall). Documented in Systems & Platforms.
SSO
Single Sign-On. A centralized authentication mechanism that allows users to access multiple applications with a single set of credentials. WEP uses Microsoft 365 as the SSO provider.
VOIP
Voice over Internet Protocol. Cloud-based telephony used by WEP via JustCall for sales and support calls across all offices.
🔒 Security & Compliance
GDPR
General Data Protection Regulation. The EU regulation governing the collection, processing, and storage of personal data. All WEP systems and AI tools must be GDPR-compliant.
Human-in-the-loop
An operational model where AI assists tasks but a human retains final decision-making authority. Required by WEP AI Policy for all AI-generated content and student communications.
Incident Response
The structured procedure for detecting, reporting, and resolving cybersecurity incidents. See Incident Response Procedure.
MFA
Multi-Factor Authentication. A security mechanism requiring two or more verification methods (e.g., password + mobile app) to access an account. Mandatory for all WEP accounts.
🔄 Processes & Support
SLA
Service Level Agreement. A commitment defining expected response and resolution times for support tickets, based on priority level (P1–P4). See Service Management.
Triage
The initial classification and prioritization of incoming support tickets by the Level 1 (L1) team, before routing to specialized support.
📜 Governance & Decisions
ADR
Architecture Decision Record. A document that captures a key architectural or governance decision and its rationale.
ROADMAP
The strategic and operative plan for the project's evolution.
