ADR-006: Identity Registry & Squad Roles

Context​

In a mixed human/AI squad, ambiguity about "who does what" can lead to governance failures or inefficient collaboration.

Decision​

We maintain a root-level AGENTS.md file that defines:

  1. The Squad: A unified list of all active participants (Humans and Agents) categorized by functional roles.
  2. Roles & Responsibilities: Clear boundaries for decision-making and task execution without ontological distinction.
  3. The Agentic Work Model: Explicit expectations for how digital agents operate and collaborate.

Consequences​

  • Positive: Clear accountability, facilitated onboarding, and a formal "Identity Registry" that agents can use to understand their context.
